There are not a lot of sign fabricators who cannot bid effectively on a complex sign project. We use so many different materials; some fabricators never learn how to make the vast variety of sign types. A state licensed sign contractor will have the necessary experience to bid, design, construct, and install, any type of sign you can imagine. A state licensed contractor must have at least 5 years experience in the sign industry. They must pass a test on the vast amount of construction, and installation methods, which will include some engineering of designs and footings to support the signs. They must be familiar with the electrical aspects of signage as well.

In order to take the contractors test, you have to have three qualified sign contractors, sign your application, stating that you are qualified to be a licensed sign contractor. In order to get these recommendations, you must interact with several different contracting companies, to gain their vast knowledge, and experience in manufacturing and installation. Some large signs will require several trades in order to build it. A licensed sign contractor will have knowledge of construction techniques, concrete forms, footings, and finishing. Stucco work, drywall, plumbing, electrical, solar lighting, metal welding work, aluminum construction, sheet metal work, engineering, and roofing just to name a few of the trades required in order to be a qualified sign contractor.

Anaheim Signs has the advantage of knowing the sign industry. Learning from two generations of sign crafters, and becoming a state licensed sign contractor in 1978. I took over in 1984, and have designed, manufactured, and installed thousands of different sign types. I have the experience to make a professional sign at a reasonable cost. Spend time looking at signs online, before you determine which type of sign will best suit your needs. Google images are a great resource for sign ideas. Just type in some key words that might describe the type of sign you want, like lighted channel letters, or sign graphics, or stone monument signs. You will be able to view tons of images that can give you some ideas, and design inspiration. This will help you understand and identify the type of sign you will be shopping for, and all your estimators will be bidding the same thing.

Consider how tall you want the channel letter sign to be, before you decide to buy. If you need a sign that will be visible from people traveling on highways, look at some other signs along the freeway to determine which size is visible. A sign that is too small to read, is a waste of money, make sure your channel letters will be visible for your customers to find you. I have years of understanding what it takes to make your business signage stand out please contact us below for a free consultation.
